Lushomo founder, Thomas Scalway, started working in international development in the 1990s, mainly leading consulting teams in planning or evaluating large health projects for the United Nations. Through this work he noticed that, often, valuable research and data was not being maximised or shared in a way that allowed the key messages to reach the right people in the right forms. In 2014 he established Lushomo to address this challenge. What started as a handful of people in a shared office space has since grown into a multi-disciplinary international team working online and across time zones in a fully remote system.
