The background

Lushomo has an ongoing partnership with the WHO to create products on sexual and reproductive health issues and research. These products help the WHO to communicate on a range of initiatives around contraceptives, gender-based violence, digital health, maternal health and many more.

The brief

To help the WHO communicate about sexual and reproductive health and rights to a range of stakeholders, including policy-makers, civil society, healthcare providers and the general public.

Our response

We produced numerous sets of social media graphics, annual reports, flyers, brochures and banners, using design elements that bring out the emotions of the messaging.

Social media
These social media slides were used to share some of the key findings from a study by our WHO partners on the mistreatment of women in healthcare facilities during childbirth. By making women the focus of the slides, the viewer gets a snapshot of the experience through the women’s eyes. The use of shadows and sharp lines creates tension and emotion.

Graphics
These social media graphics helped advertise the launch of a new WHO guideline on digital health. The style was created to mirror the guideline document, and the graphics represented a range of key findings and messages from the guideline around the important emerging theme of digital health.

Large format banner
We designed this banner for our WHO partners to use at a large annual conference on women’s empowerment and rights. It measured 2m high by 4m long, and portrayed women across the lifecourse. It was displayed as part of an exhibition area and had to be viewed both up close and from a distance.
