WHO Africa

Adolescent Health in Africa

Adolescents are the future of the African continent, but many suffer from illness, disease, teen pregnancy and a variety of social conditions relating to poverty and lack of opportunity. Lushomo reviewed available literature and data to communicate on key challenges, trends and priorities for adolescent health

Project

Communicating the status of adolescent health in the African Region

Deliverables

Two reports, a series of posters, banners, stationary and stickers

Lushomo helped the African regional office of WHO communicate the status of adolescent health in the African region. We undertook a review of the available literature and online data. Gathering the best information we could, we undertook an analysis of key challenges, trends and priorities for adolescent health. We then developed a number of materials including a graphic-rich background report, a summary report, a series of posters, banners, stationary and stickers.

One of the noticeable things about this job is how information about adolescent health is scarce and undervalued. Presenting that information in a way that highlights its importance for policy and programming is a priority that we are keen to continue assisting with.
